California Swingset Parts Residential Swing Connectors and Fasteners California Swingset Parts sells residential swing connectors and fasteners for 2 purposes: attaching swingseats to chains, and attaching the top of the chains to the swing hangers on the structure. 4 options: the H-Shackle, the Clevis, the S-Hook, or the Spring Loaded Connector Clip. We recommend H-Shackles, which need only the special Allen Wrench tool to open and close (but S-Hooks require a pair of S-Hook Pliers, which can be pricey.) On the other hand, Spring Loaded Connector Clips are very easy to use and probably strong enough for your home playground needs. In summary: • The H-Shackle is the toughest option. It opens easily with the Allen wrench. • The Clevis is very sturdy, and it opens only one end. Requires the Allen wrench. • The S-Hooks are durable, but you'll need an expensive tool to open and close them (see below • The Spring Loaded Connector Clip is the easiest option but not the strongest.
