Residential Tire Swing Chains
Three types of residential swing chains are available: uncoated, Plastisol-coated, and soft-grip coated. We recommend coated chains, to avoid pinching kids' fingers. To attach chains to swing seats and swing hangers, you will need fasteners (see below).

3/16" Proof Coil Chain
These lengths of exposed chain are available in 2 sizes: 5.5 feet long or 8 feet long. The chains are galvanized, meaning that they're dipped in zing. The chains are made in the USA.

Plastisol Coated Chain (3/16")
These galvanized chains are dipped in liquid plastisol, to prevent little fingers from being pinched. The upper part is exposed chain. Made in the USA. Available in 2 lengths:

Soft Grip Tube Chain
This strong chain is available in 1 length: 5 feet, of which the lowest 32" is covered with soft grip coating. Colors available in blue, yellow, or black. The links are zinc plated. Made in USA.

Residential Tire Swing Chain Fasteners and Connectors These fasteners and connectors are used for 2 purposes: attaching swingseats to chains, and attaching the top of the chains to the swing hangers on the structure. There are 4 options: the H-Shackle, the Clevis, the S-Hook, or the Spring Loaded Connector Clip. We recommend H-Shackles, which need only the special Allen Wrench tool to open and close (but S-Hooks require a pair of S-Hook Pliers, which can be pricey.) On the other hand, Spring Loaded Connector Clips are very easy to use and probably strong enough for your home playground needs.
